Business for Scotland organises three main types of event. The Business for Scotland Annual Dinner, Saltire Club lunches and Clarity our Business Engagement Programme made up of occasional seminars, talks and economic policy engagement events.
The Business for Scotland Annual Dinner
An important event in the Scottish business calendar, the Business for Scotland Annual Dinner is now in its tenth year and has always been addressed by the First Minister of Scotland or the Finance Cabinet Secretary at the time. This is no ordinary boring business chicken dinner, it's fun, engaging and informative, whilst also allowing guests the opportunity to network over dinner and enjoy speeches in the company of some of Scotland’s leading politicians and business people.
The next Annual Dinner is on the drawing board and will take place in April/ May 2025. To register your interest just fill in the contact form and we will email you when the date and venue are confirmed.
The Saltire Club
The Saltire Club from Business for Scotland is Scotland’s most influential business network. Saltire Club lunches are engaging, lively, hot topic discussions with guest speakers ranging from Government ministers, newspaper editors, economists, business and policy experts and creatives.
The lunches are held on the final Friday of each month in private dining rooms in either Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee or Aberdeen. Our members are all Scottish independence supporting business owners and directors.
The Saltire Club offers a powerful networking opportunity for leading pro-independence business people. Each lunch aims to ensure members have the time and opportunity to network, do business and discuss how to grow Scotland’s economy and enhance Scotland’s prosperity.

Clarity - Business Engagement
Our events have a radically different feel to standard business networking events, that all seem to follow the same old formula. Business for Scotland ran a series of highly successful business networking events that we organised prior to lockdown but we have decided to go back to the drawing board and reinvent our business networking and policy discussion programme.
Clarity is a new series of business engagement and networking events being planned in partnership with the Scottish Government. Our plans to relaunch the Clarity programme in the autumn of 2024 are well underway and will involve a national roadshow. Clarity will focus on how we optimise the economy with the limited powers of devolution, what would change with independence and discussion of a just transition and the Wellbeing Economic Approach.
